Follow these steps in order to safely free up disk space.
- Press Win+R, type %temp%, select all and delete; then empty the Recycle Bin.
- Settings → System → Storage → enable Storage Sense, then open "Temporary files" to clear update caches.
- In Settings → Apps, sort by size and uninstall large programs you no longer use.
- Search for Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr) and check thumbnails, delivery optimization files and other system items.
